Job summary

Technical Partners are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Birkenhead to join their electrical and automation team. The role focuses on delivering detailed electrical designs for industrial projects, including control panels and LV switchgear, with strong EPLAN experience and a pathway to technical leadership.

You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with customers and project teams, and ensure designs meet budget, quality, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Proven experience with EPLAN essential.
Ability to mentor and lead a small team of engineers.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed electrical designs, drawings, calculations using EPLAN/AutoCAD.
Design control and LV switchgear panels and cabling for industrial applications.
Review project requirements and develop fit-for-purpose electrical solutions.
Support customer quotations and site visits as needed.
Ensure on-time delivery within budgets and specifications.
Provide technical advice and review electrical design submissions.
Support designs through panel manufacture and commissioning.
Mentor junior engineers and liaise with stakeholders.
