Job summary

Quest Global is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in the United Kingdom to lead the development and delivery of electrical design packages from concept to detailed design. You will produce calculations, diagrams and specifications for installations and infrastructure projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective solutions.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent, experience in regulated environments, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical design packages within a regulated industry.
• Experience using CAD and electrical design software.
• Knowledge of BS 7671, IEC standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Experience supporting design reviews, hazard assessments and safety case documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary and detailed electrical designs for industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Produce and check electrical calculations including load assessments and protection studies.
• Prepare electrical single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and equipment layouts.
• Develop technical specifications, design reports and engineering substantiation documentation.
• Undertake design reviews and ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Interface with multidisciplinary engineers during design development.
• Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning and testing activities.
• Manage technical queries and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
