Job summary

Kier Design in the Building Services team seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver electrical design solutions on large, complex construction projects in Liverpool or London. You will lead design delivery, provide technical guidance, coordinate with clients and architects, and promote BIM-enabled sustainable design while mentoring colleagues.

A degree in electrical engineering with CIBSE or IET membership is required; Chartered Engineer status or progression toward it is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Electrical Building Services Engineer or Electrical Engineer with CIBSE or IET membership.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered status.
• Experience delivering electrical design solutions with a proven track record.
• Excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Must pass BPSS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design delivery for large, complex construction projects, ensuring code compliance.
• Provide high-level technical advice and represent electrical engineering in meetings.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A degree-qualified Electrical Building Services Engineer or Electrical Engineer with CIBSE or IET membership.
• A Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartered status.

• Highly knowledgeable in your discipline with excellent communication skills.
• Able to pass the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements.
