Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Major Projects team in Liverpool or London. You will deliver electrical designs for large, complex construction projects with a focus on sustainable, compliant and cost-effective solutions from concept through construction.

You will lead the electrical design effort, work with clients, architects and contractors, and provide technical guidance in design meetings to deliver innovative electrical systems for high-value projects.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Member of CIBSE or IET; Chartered status preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Experience in electrical building services engineering with discipline knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality electrical designs and specifications meeting client requirements and codes.
• Lead the electrical design team and coordinate with other disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Offer technical advice in design meetings and develop innovative, sustainable concepts.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders across project lifecycles.
• Identify and resolve design challenges during design and construction with QA in mind.

Hours:

40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We\'re seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you\'ll be responsible for delivering electrical designs for large, complex construction projects, ensuring sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions from concept through to construction. You\'ll work collaboratively with clients, architects, and colleagues to bridge engineering excellence with real-world needs.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Electrical Engineer, You\'ll Be Working Within The Major Projects Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Innovative Electrical Design Solutions For High-value Construction Projects. Your Day To Day Will Include

• Providing high quality electrical designs and specifications that meet client requirements and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
• Leading the electrical design team and coordinating with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
• Offering technical advice and support in project design meetings, establishing innovative concepts and sustainable design solutions
• Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout project lifecycles
• Identifying and resolving technical challenges during design and construction phases whilst maintaining quality assurance

What are we looking for?

This role of Electrical Engineer is great for you if:

• You hold a degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering and are a member of CIBSE or IET
• You are a Chartered Engineer or actively working towards becoming chartered
• You have demonstrable experience in electrical building services engineering with a high level of knowledge in your discipline
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
