ORE Catapult in Blyth is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Research & Engineering team. You will oversee the design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to support commercial testing, research activities and asset developments across offshore renewable energy projects.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership, and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Formación

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
5+ years' experience in electrical engineering.
Experience in design, installation, testing and commissioning.
Knowledge of substations, transformers, converters, switchgear and protection systems.
Experience with MATLAB, SIMULINK and EPLAN is advantageous.
BS7671 installation and testing standards.
Strong communication and team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

Act as an Authorised Person for Low Voltage electrical systems across the Blyth site.
Lead the design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
Provide technical expertise across testing, research and capital projects.
Manage multiple projects to meet quality, cost and timescale requirements.
Produce, review and sign off engineering reports, drawings and procedures.
Mentor engineers and support the development of the team.
Ensure compliance with ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO17025.
