Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for decarbonisation and energy solutions in Manchester. The role focuses on low-carbon technologies such as solar PV, battery storage, LED lighting, and smart controls, with design leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

You will deliver design across RIBA Stages 2–5, coordinate with mechanical and energy systems, mentor junior engineers, and engage with DNOs as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (BEng or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards.
• Strong experience in electrical building services design and low-carbon systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead LV electrical design for low-carbon and retrofit projects.
• Produce calculations, SLDs, schematics, schedules and technical reports.
• Lead electrical design packages on multidisciplinary projects and perform QA checks.
