Job summary

A leading manufacturer of engineering solutions in Scarborough seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. You will lead the design of advanced control panels and systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and legislation. Candidates must have at least a level 3 qualification and 3 years of relevant experience. The role offers a competitive salary, a 39-hour work week, and 32 days of annual leave, including public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with 3 phase power circuits.
• Familiarity with 24Vdc control circuits.
• Knowledge of machine safety systems.
• Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance with customer specification.
• Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.
• Create parts lists (BOM’s).
• Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for efficient methods.
• Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.
• Provide remote customer support.
