About the Role:
As a Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems across a range of exciting projects. From high-end residential developments to complex school and commercial buildings, you will lead the design process, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead electrical design across multiple projects, managing timelines and ensuring delivery within budget
* Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to develop detailed electrical system designs
* Utilise design software including Amtech and Dialux to create efficient and compliant designs
* Oversee and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support
* Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and are compliant with health and safety guidelines
* Liaise with other departments to coordinate multidisciplinary design processes
About You:
* A proven track record as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally with residential, school, and commercial project experience
* Proficiency in Amtech and Dialux software is essential
* Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
* Relevant electrical engineering qualifications and professional certifications
* Strong knowledge of industry regulations, including BS7671
