Location: Manchester (City Centre)

Salary: 50,000 to 60,000 (depending on the experience)

As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will take on the exciting challenge of managing the execution of intricate electrical designs across a diverse array of projects. This role transcends traditional project oversight; you will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior Engineers, cultivating strong relationships with clients, and collaborating closely with design team members, contractors, and various stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Role and responsibilities:

1. Leverage expertise in electrical building services to inform high–quality designs, including HV/LV Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Lighting Control, Fire Alarms, Communication Systems, Lightning Protection, Security, and Access Control.
2. Comprehend and apply the principles of Building Regulations alongside client net zero carbon goals, as well as BREEAM and LEED sustainability certifications.
3. Provide mentorship, guidance and supervision to junior engineers and technicians.
4. Conduct thorough site investigations, carry out inspections, pinpoint challenges, and develop solutions.
5. Prepare technical specifications for completed projects.
6. Assist clients with tender evaluations.
7. Communicate and collaborate confidently with team members, clients, and other construction professionals on projects.
8. Act as the company's representative during design team meetings with clients and construction colleagues.
9. Demonstrate commercial acumen in your position by identifying changes or opportunities in projects through client discussions and by providing follow–ups either directly or via the senior leadership team.
10. Provide support with project commissioning as needed to ensure alignment with design intent.
11. Software Expertise: Demonstrates proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux and BIM Environment.
