Job summary
NP Aerospace is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced electrical systems for next-generation armoured military vehicles. You will shape electrical architecture and work with EMC/ECM protection, BOWMAN, and situational awareness subsystems to deliver field-ready solutions.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, own specifications, and guide designs through full lifecycle, including prototype and verification work, while embracing AI-assisted
Qualifications
- Must have delivered electrical design projects from concept to launch in defence or automotive sectors.
- Proficient in 3D CAD with Creo and Windchill PLM experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and BS8888 standards.
- Experience with EMC/ECM protection and armoured vehicle subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design from concept to detailed design and validation.
- Create specifications, present options, and guide lifecycle processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers for verified designs.
- Support prototype development, tests, and through-life support.
