Job summary

Human Capital Solutions UK is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead building services design from concept to completion in a collaborative consultancy.

The role offers hybrid working with a Berkshire office location and exposure to a broad project portfolio across retail, healthcare, commercial and residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Building Services Consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of UK regulations and design standards.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical Design and delivery of Building Services projects across multiple sectors.
• Produce and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Attend client, design and project meetings.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, Revit technicians and wider project teams.
• Support Junior and Intermediate Engineers where required.
• Undertake site visits and inspections.
• Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to progress their career within a collaborative consultancy environment. The business actively promotes hybrid working, typically with employees spending 3-4 days per week in the office and is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing team.

The Role

You will play a key role in the delivery of Electrical Building Services Design projects from concept through to completion.

Working closely with the Electrical and Mechanical Directors, you will be involved in both project delivery and helping to support the continued growth of the electrical team.

This appointment forms part of a wider succession and growth strategy as the business strengthens its permanent engineering team and continues to develop its long-term capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience within a Building Services Consultancy environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design.
• Experience delivering projects across one or more commercial sectors.
• Ability to manage projects and liaise directly with clients.
• Familiarity with relevant UK regulations and design standards.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
