Our client is part of a group that has been established for almost 200 years and employs more than 5,500 staff globally, specialising in a range of bespoke heavier engineering and materials handling activities for a diverse range of applications. Due to continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to be based out of their prestigious Leeds Office environment and complement their successful electrical engineering team.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the successful Senior Electrical Design Engineer candidate will undertake a range of duties and responsibilities that will include (but not be limited to):
To be considered for this varied and genuinely interesting Senior Electrical Design Engineer opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will realistically be qualified to Degree level or above in Electrical Engineering (although comparable qualifications will be considered) and demonstrate at least 5 years previous experience of electrical design work gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
You will demonstrate extensive design engineering experience in a drawing office environment along with proven project management awareness, with excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, and comprehensive skills in the use of AutoCad Electrical 2020 (or equivalent), with knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications proving distinctly advantageous.
