Job summary

Ameon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems on flagship UK projects. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, professional registration, and proven experience in building services electrical design. You will mentor junior engineers and liaise with clients and contractors to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Registration with IET or similar body (Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status preferred)
• Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, power, and containment systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux or similar software.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for RIBA Stage 4-5 construction projects.
• Oversee and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671, Building Regulations, and other standards.
• Collaborate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Provide technical oversight of junior engineers and mentorship.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency strategies within electrical designs.

Either way, you will have to demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency and a strong track record.

Your Role

As aSenior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems on cutting-edge projects across the UK. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, you will ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for RIBA Stage 4-5 construction projects.
