Job summary

Unify, Reading-based renewable energy installer, seeks an experienced Qualified Supervisor to oversee electrical compliance across solar PV, storage, EV charging, and ASHP systems. You will lead design reviews, sign off installations, and ensure regulatory governance and high workmanship standards.

You will mentor electricians and installers, deliver training on safety, testing, and certification, and support customers with accurate technical guidance and post-installation care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification with 18th Edition (BS 7671).
• Experience in solar PV, battery storage, or ASHP electrical integration.
• Strong understanding of MCS standards, electrical compliance, and renewable system safety.
• Ability to lead teams, manage technical risk, and uphold high installation standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as the company's Qualified Supervisor for solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and ASHP installations; sign off electrical works and compliance.
• Review and approve system designs including sizing, inverter selection, and cable calculations; ensure safe isolation.
• Conduct on-site audits to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to workflow from survey to handover.
• Mentor and train electricians and installation teams on testing procedures and certification processes.
• Maintain accreditation governance and prepare documentation for audits, renewals, and DNO applications (G98/G99).
• Provide technical support and clear communication to customers, ensuring accurate performance information.
