Job summary

NRL in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead the electrical commissioning on a data centre project in Dagenham, Essex. This is an 8-week on-site contract requiring proven experience in commissioning management, safety, and client-facing reporting.

You will develop and execute the commissioning plan, chair meetings, coordinate stakeholders, oversee FACTS tests and handover documentation, and ensure compliance with IET 17th edition and CIBSE standards.

• Knowledge of commissioning standards and best practices in high‑voltage systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and co-ordinate the electrical commissioning process in line with the project programme
• Develop and maintain the Commissioning Execution Plan, testing strategy and resourced programme
• Chair commissioning meetings and co-ordinate all relevant stakeholders
• Verify and report on factory acceptance tests, site inspections and witnessing protocols
• Manage integrated system testing, ensuring statutory compliance and client demonstrations
• Oversee completion and handover documentation, training plans, and final reporting
• Ensure adherence to all codes of practice, including IET, BSRIA, and CIBSE standards

• Knowledge of Cx Alloy commissioning platform and Cx tagging processes
• Proven experience with electrical systems commissioning including IET 17th edition testing standards
• Strong communication, leadership skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Experience with health and safety management in a construction environment
• Valid CSCS or ECS site card

Nice-to-have Skills

• Familiarity with producing Commissioning Job Books and compliance reporting (BSRIA, CIBSE)
• Experience working on large-scale projects with budgets between £0.5m - £5m
