Job summary

Quantum Motion in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Characterisation Engineer to join the Quantum System in Package team. This senior, full-time role focuses on silicon device characterisation and data-driven yield analysis.

You will develop automated test routines in Python, correlate electrical measurements with semiconductor process steps, and collaborate across hardware, quantum engineering and foundry teams to improve device performance and yield.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related fields.
• 3+ years' experience in semiconductor device testing, reliability or yield analysis.
• Strong understanding of CMOS fabrication and foundry workflows.
• Hands-on with DC/RF electrical testing and wafer probing.

Responsibilities

• Drive electrical characterisation of fabricated silicon devices and improve screening methods.
• Translate electrical data into manufacturing insights; connect to process steps.
• Develop automated measurement and test infrastructure using Python.
• Analyse large datasets for yield, drift and device performance.
• Collaborate with foundries and process engineers to improve devices.
• Build testing standards, SOPs and data pipelines for cross-team flow.
• Contribute to shaping next-gen characterisation capabilities.
• Combine semiconductor knowledge with data-driven approaches.
