Job summary

Pick Everard is seeking a Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) to lead and deliver electrical design across multiple sectors from our Nottingham office. The role focuses on mentoring early career professionals while coordinating with clients and contractors to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will work on feasibility studies, design development, and contract documentation, upholding BS7671 and H&S/CDM standards within a collaborative, national team.

Qualifications

• HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Knowledge of BS7671 and current H&S/CDM requirements.
• Familiarity with electrical and lighting design software such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux.
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Deliver portfolios of work across the private and public sector.
• Prepare designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents.
• Carrying out building analysis.
• Managing various contracts.
• Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors.
• Ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on time.
• Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and graduates.
• Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.
