Job summary

ARCA Consulting Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Senior Electrical Build Engineer / Electrical Assembly Engineer to join a high‑tech team. You will assemble and commission advanced simulator systems, working with production and engineering to meet tight specs and quality.

The role demands experience in wiring looms, soldering and safety standards; you will build chassis looms, troubleshoot issues, maintain records, and travel as required while upholding a strong health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience manufacturing wiring looms, soldering and crimping.
• NVQ Level 3 electrical or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and compliance standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and BOMs.
• Proficient use of test equipment (multimeters, insulation resistance testers).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build complex motion systems to design documentation, on time and to spec.
• Install, integrate, and test motion generator systems.
• Carry out fault finding, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues.
• Build first-of-type chassis looms and assemblies for mock-ups and system integration.
• Maintain accurate records of build and test progress.
• Collaborate with design, installation, and QA teams to optimise performance.
• Log and escalate blockers, issues, or non-conformances.
• Maintain strong focus on health and safety, ensuring a high-quality workshop environment.
