Job summary

Egis, through Omnia Projects, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to deliver major electricity infrastructure across the transmission and distribution network. You will manage projects from feasibility through design, construction, commissioning and handover with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role involves coordinating design, procurement and site activities, maintaining asset records, and regular stakeholder reporting, with hybrid working across the North East region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and their application in major infrastructure projects.
• Significant experience delivering electricity transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong knowledge of voltages 11kV–132kV and substation plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of EHV substation projects from concept to completion.
• Manage plant replacement, reinforcement and customer connection schemes (11kV, 33kV, 66kV, 132kV).
• Develop and review engineering solutions, feasibility studies and project options.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
