Job summary

Shropshire Council is seeking a Senior EHCP Case Officer to lead the delivery of high-quality, legally compliant Education, Health and Care Plans for children and young people aged 0–25. This role includes Post-16 lead responsibilities, complex placement decisions, and partnership working with families and agencies.

You will manage a caseload, supervise EHCP Officers, and ensure statutory timescales are met, while supporting QA processes and panel decisions to secure the best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and timescales.
• Ability to lead Post-16 transition planning and adulthood preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHCP delivery for children and young people 0–25 in designated area.
• Oversee statutory assessments and annual reviews; ensure timescales are met.
• Line-manage EHCP Case Officers and support multi-agency collaboration.
• Support quality assurance, audits, and complaints resolution.
