Job summary

North Somerset Council’s Educational Psychology Service seeks a Senior Educational Psychologist to lead one locality hub, develop EP practice, and supervise a team of EPs within a close-knit service. The role includes coordination of statutory work, workforce development, and collaboration with schools and partners.

You will contribute to service planning, participate in the Experts at Hand model, and still maintain a portion of your own practice.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist with a psychology degree
• Postgraduate qualification in educational psychology and leadership experience
• Experience delivering high-quality statutory psychological services to children and families with diverse needs

Responsibilities

• Lead one Experts at Hand locality hub and provide EP professional leadership within the multidisciplinary team
• Lead recruitment, induction, supervision and CPD across the EP team
• Line manage EPs and the Specialist Provision Support Team Leader
• Manage statutory work allocation, EHC needs assessment timelines and compliance
• Support development of Tier 1 and the service’s post-16 offer
• Maintain own EP practice and contribute to service planning, policy and evaluation
