Job summary

Wigan Council invites applications for a Senior Educational Psychologist to lead the Educational Psychology Service. You will guide a multidisciplinary Experts at Hand team, ensuring high-quality outcomes for children, families and schools, while shaping SEND developments.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Educational Psychologist to join our leadership team. You will be an integral part of the Educational Psychology Service, with a passion for working collaboratively to enable Educational Psychologists to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary Experts at Hand team. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for Educational Psychologists (EPS), Trainee EPS and Assistant EPs ensuring the best outcomes for children, young people, families and schools.

You’ll join an innovative and highly regarded Educational Psychology Service. Working as part of our multidisciplinary Experts at Hand Team, you’ll collaborate across education, health and social care to strengthen inclusion, support early intervention, shape SEND developments and deliver impactful psychological practice. From working directly with children, families and schools to leading projects, training and strategic initiatives, you’ll have the autonomy to make a meaningful difference.
