Job summary

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner to support the Mental Health Support Team across schools in the region. The post involves delivering low-intensity CBT-based interventions, training school staff, and providing clinical supervision to trainees and junior EMHPs.

The role requires strong collaboration with schools, a whole school approach to wellbeing, and leadership in developing innovative service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as EMHP / low intensity therapist.
• Experience delivering low intensity psychological interventions in education settings.
• Ability to supervise and develop junior EMHPs.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of MHST to deliver education-based mental health services.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
• Lead and supervise EMHPs; deliver training and clinical governance.
• Develop Whole School Approach to mental health within schools.
