Job Description

About the Role: The Lancet Regional Health – Europe is an Open Access journal under The Lancet’s global health initiative, focusing on improving healthcare quality and access globally. You will work with Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief on journal preparation, collaborating with authors and editorial teams.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute critically to the selection of journal content.
  • Identify experts to act as peer reviewers for submissions.
  • Write editorials, organize peer reviews, and conduct webinars and podcasts with authors and key opinion leaders.
  • Commission content to enhance the journal’s profile and handle special projects like Series and Commissions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the regional health community to solicit research and thought leadership.
  • Attend conferences, identify relevant topics and authors, and stay updated on regional health developments.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in clinical or biomedical science, public health, global health, or related fields; a medical degree (MD) or PhD with post-doc research experience is advantageous.
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and global teams.
  • Alignment with The Lancet’s values and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
