Job description

Senior Econometrician

Summary

Job Title: Senior Econometrician

Reporting to: Client Services Director

Location: London Euston (Hybrid, 2-3 days a week in the office)

Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9-5, flexible

About the role

Rapid and large-scale growth in the demand for our services means that we are actively looking to expand our team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Senior Econometrician with 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM).

As such, the candidate will support the existing and new projects by:

  • Leading the modelling process from briefing, data exploration and variable selection through to model building, interpretation and presentation of results
  • Creating clear and insightful output decks for both internal stakeholders and client presentations
  • Leading initiatives to enhance processes and helping to develop innovative products and offerings

This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to break the glass ceiling and take their careers to the next level. It offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in independent project management and develop client‑facing skills, while working in a dynamic, data‑driven environment. The ideal candidate will be motivated and supported to grow beyond technical expertise and build the leadership and communication capabilities needed for long‑term career progression.

Candidate profile

The successful candidate will be expected to take full ownership of modelling projects, from raw data ingestion through to final model delivery and client‑ready outputs, with minimal supervision.

This includes strong skills for gathering, checking and processing data in preparation for analysis and being comfortable taking a model from start to finish independently. Experience in designing meaningful reports that effectively link project scope, client expectations and actionable recommendations is essential for this role.

Technical proficiency

  • Strong econometric modelling skills using tools such as R, Python, or other statistical software packages (e.g., EViews, SAS)
  • Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas and Parquet is a big plus
  • Experience with different modelling approaches and methodologies e.g., linear, logarithmic linear etc.
  • Ability to handle large datasets, clean and transform raw data, and apply advanced algorithms such as regression, lag structures, adstock, saturation and interaction effects
  • Hands‑on experience with Machine Learning and Random Forest is highly valued
  • Experience with model validation, diagnostics and performance metrics

Problem solving & communication

  • Strong analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving
  • Clear communicator who can explain complex modelling outputs in a straightforward, business‑relevant way, particularly to internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, with some exposure to clients
  • Support the growth of junior team members through mentorship and hands‑on guidance

We learn, develop and succeed together, fostering an ego‑free and positive company culture, to ensure we can achieve business goals and personal dreams at the same time. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, opening it up to independent 3rd party scrutiny via our ISO 9001 and 27001 Quality Assurance Accreditation.

We also place a strong emphasis on technical development, with around a quarter of our business dedicated to technical development and process improvement.
