Job summary

RammSanderson Environmental Solutions is seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead ecological impact assessments, manage exciting projects, and mentor our junior team. You will lead client communications, design mitigation strategies and supervise field surveys, delivering high-quality reports and EPS license applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• CIEEM membership or eligibility.
• Natural England licences for protected species are advantageous.
• Strong project management, risk assessment and technical report-writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver ecological projects (PEA, EIA, surveys).
• Lead client communications, consultations and stakeholder management.
• Design and implement mitigation strategies and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
• Supervise field surveys and act as Ecological Clerk of Works when required.
• Write and review high-quality technical reports and licences.
• Mentor junior and assistant ecologists to support their growth.
