Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Ecologist in Cambridge to join a leading environmental consultancy. You will lead ecological surveys, risk assessments and manage projects from quotation to completion.

The role is permanent with a salary of £40,000 - £50,000. It offers flexible and hybrid working, generous leave, funded CPD, and clear career progression within a multidisciplinary ecology team across residential, commercial, infrastructure and conservation projects.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within ecological consultancy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple ecological projects simultaneously.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• CIEEM membership, with chartered status or protected species licences desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office
• Willingness to travel for site work and client meetings as required

Responsabilités

• Lead ecological surveys, site inspections and habitat assessments
• Produce technical reports, impact assessments and mitigation strategies
• Manage projects from quotation through to successful completion
• Build strong relationships with clients, planners and external stakeholders
• Support, mentor and review the work of junior ecologists
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standard
