Job summary

TipTopJob in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join a small, friendly consultancy delivering ecological services across South Wales and the South West. You will manage projects, conduct fieldwork and prepare reports, taking ownership of workstreams.

The role offers hybrid/flexible working, a permanent contract and opportunities for technical development. Applicants should have 2+ years' ecological consultancy experience and full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years ecological consultancy experience
• Strong protected species and habitat survey experience
• Experience managing ecological projects
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Protected species licence, particularly bats, desirable
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Full right to work in the UK
• Living in or near to the Cardiff office

Responsibilities

• Manage projects across multiple sites and client briefs
• Undertake ecological fieldwork
• Prepare high-quality reports and provide technical advice to clients and stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members
