Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our Cardiff team. The role involves managing ecological projects, conducting field surveys, and delivering high-quality reports for clients across South Wales and the South West.

The position offers hybrid working, enhanced leave, a company pension, and opportunities for career progression and professional licences. A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' ecological consultancy experience.
• Strong protected species and habitat survey experience.
• Experience managing ecological projects.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• CIEEM membership desirable.
• Protected species licence, particularly bats, desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Living in or near to the Cardiff office.

Responsabilités

• Manage ecological projects from inception to delivery.
• Undertake ecological fieldwork and data collection.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice and support to the team and clients.
• Mentor junior ecologists where applicable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a small, friendly and established ecological consultancy delivering a wide range of ecological and wildlife services across South Wales and the South West. The company works across residential, infrastructure and renewable energy projects, providing opportunities to take ownership of projects and develop your technical expertise.

As a Senior Ecologist, you will manage projects, undertake ecological fieldwork, prepare high-quality reports and provide technical advice to clients and stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior members of the team.
