Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Leeds seeks a Senior Ecologist to join a well-established practice. You will lead ecological assessments, habitat surveys and impact studies across a range of projects.

You will conduct field surveys including protected species work, prepare detailed reports and mitigation strategies, and advise clients on ecological issues while mentoring junior ecologists and ensuring compliance with UK wildlife legislation and planning policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in ecological consultancy or related field.
• Proficiency in survey techniques, data analysis, and report writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact studies.
• Conduct field surveys including protected species work and ecological monitoring.
• Prepare detailed ecological reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
• Client liaison to provide expert advice on ecological issues.
• Mentor junior ecologists and ensure compliance with legislation and planning policies.
