The Opportunity

We are offering a permanent Senior Ecologist position within our Consulting Energy Transition and Sustainability team, with shared office spaces in Bristol, Cardiff, and Birmingham. We welcome applications from Ecologists across Wales, Midlands, and South West regions.

This role involves supporting ecology activities on various road contracts across the Midlands, including frameworks with National Highways, local councils, and Network Rail. You will support team development and may lead on business development opportunities.

The Role

As a Senior Ecologist, you will support ecology projects, mentor junior staff, and work closely with clients across sectors like highways, rail, and government.

Responsibilities Include

• Producing technically sound ecological deliverables.
• Preparing and reviewing documentation.
• Liaising with clients and suppliers.
• Managing a small, local ecological team.
• Contributing to bids and business growth.
• Promoting health and safety practices.

What You Will Bring

• Experience in ecological surveys, protected species licensing, and invasive species management.
