Job summary

Lucion is recruiting a Senior Ecologist to lead ecological surveys from the site visit to final report, map habitats, assess ecological value, and develop practical solutions. You will translate field findings into clear, high-quality reports and work with clients, regulators, and communities to deliver responsible outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree (2:1+), CIEEM membership, 3+ years consultancy experience, Natural England protected species licences, and a full driving

What you’ll be doing

No two days will look the same. You could be:

• Leading ecological surveys and guiding projects from the first site visit to final report.
• Investigating protected species and uncovering the hidden wildlife stories of a site.
• Mapping habitats, assessing ecological value, and finding practical solutions.
• Turning field discoveries into clear, high-quality ecological reports.
• Working with clients, contractors, regulators, and communities to make good things happen.

The kind of person we’re looking for

You’ll already have experience in ecological consultancy and be comfortable taking the lead. You’ll bring:

• A relevant degree (2:1 or above).
• CIEEM membership (Associate level or above).
• 3+ years’ consultancy experience.
• At least one Natural England protected species licence.
• A full driving licence.
