Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Echocardiographer) to join the echocardiography department on a fixed-term, nine-month contract supporting maternity leave. The role covers three sites with a rotational arrangement across St Thomas’, Guy’s and the East Dulwich centre.

You will perform transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, including stress and 3D studies, and contribute to research, audits and service development while

Qualifications

• BSE accreditation or equivalent echo accreditation is essential.
• Appropriate professional registration or a route to HCPC registration as a clinical scientist is encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms to high standards following BSE guidelines.
• Perform transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE) and stress echo as required.
• Lead and train staff; participate in audit, QA, and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to protocol development and ensure safe, effective service delivery.
