King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Echocardiographer to join the dynamic Echo service in London. You will lead advanced clinical practice, including 3D imaging and GLS, and contribute to service development within a leading teaching hospital.

The role requires BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent, recognised echo accreditation, and HCPC registration. The post offers opportunities for teaching, research involvement and service improvement

Qualificações

• BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent.
• Recognised echo accreditation (BSE, EACVI or equivalent).
• Experience in advanced echo techniques including 3D and GLS desirable.
• HCPC registration and annual mandatory training up to date.

Responsabilidades

• Act as a specialist Echocardiographer within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care.
• Independently perform and interpret diagnostic echocardiography including 3D/GLS with timely reports per BSE standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national and international echo guidelines and ensure clinical excellence.
• Manage workload to meet service demands, coordinating inpatient and outpatient activity.
• Support service development, quality improvement and supervision of junior staff.
• Oversee equipment and consumables, escalating issues to maintain service continuity.
• Promote patient-focused multidisciplinary care and contribute to innovation and service transformation.
