Job summary

Pride Veterinary Referrals in Derby is seeking a Senior Emergency and Critical Care Specialist to lead our multidisciplinary ECC service and drive high-level patient care. You will manage diverse emergencies, collaborate with teams across the hospital, and mentor clinicians and nurses to uphold excellence.

You will help develop protocols for emergency care and transfers, contribute to ongoing education, and support the hospital’s growth while maintaining top standards for patients and clients.

Qualifications

• Diplomate status (or eligibility) in Emergency and Critical Care.
• Advanced clinical expertise in emergency and critically ill patients.
• Strong communication skills with referring vets, clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine emergency case management protocols.
• Mentor, supervise and educate clinicians and nurses within the ECC service.
• Support training of the wider hospital and referring practices through CPD and clinical support.
• Contribute to the efficient running and growth of the ECC service.
