Job summary

Pride Veterinary Referrals in Derby is seeking a Senior ECC Specialist to lead and develop our specialist-led ECC service. You will manage a diverse emergency caseload, work with multidisciplinary teams, and support our out-of-hours service to deliver exceptional patient care.

You will mentor colleagues, train clinicians and nurses, develop protocols, and contribute to ongoing education across the hospital and referring practices through CPD and clinical support.

Qualifications

• Diplomate status (or eligibility) in Emergency and Critical Care.
• Advanced clinical expertise in management of emergency and critically ill patients.
• Strong communication with referring vets, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring or supervising clinicians and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver outstanding emergency and critical care services within a referral hospital.
• Refine protocols for emergency case management and inter-service transfers.
• Mentor, supervise and share knowledge with ECC clinicians and nurses.
