Job summary

M5tec Limited is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to lead electrical, control and instrumentation design across industrial projects. You will guide multi‑disciplinary teams, ensuring robust solutions from concept through commissioning and operation.

The role requires a strong background in electrical power, control systems, and instrumentation, with proven leadership and communication skills to translate complex concepts for stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Control or Mechatronic engineering or related field.
7+ years in applied engineering/design in regulated industries (Nuclear, Subsea, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Defence).
Strong knowledge of electrical power/distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and process measurement.
Experience leading a team of engineers to deliver engineered solutions.
Chartered or Incorporated engineer or actively working towards.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical concepts to non-engineers.

Responsibilities

Design electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for industrial/high‑assurance applications.
Install and maintain electrical hardware and instrumentation for monitoring and control.
Develop control philosophies, design specs, and system architectures.
Integrate power distribution, motors, drives, transformers, and protection systems.
Specify sensors, transmitters, actuators and control elements for process variables.
Apply control theory and automation to ensure safe, efficient operation.
Support manufacture, testing, trials and commissioning; engage with clients and end users.
