A Sheffield-based engineering business specialising in automated systems is looking for a Senior EC&I Engineer to take the reins on high-impact projects. If you're passionate about precision, innovation, and mentoring others-this is your opportunity to make a real difference.
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be a technical authority and a trusted problem-solver. You'll work on complex automation and control projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring every solution is robust, compliant, and future-ready.
Lead the design of electrical control systems and panels using EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical & Siemens / Allen Bradley PLCs. You'll be responsible for creating detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings that meet both client specifications and regulatory standards.
Take full ownership of EC&I engineering aspects across multiple projects. You'll manage timelines, technical deliverables, and ensure integration with mechanical and software teams.
Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including functional design specs, test procedures, and risk assessments. Ensure designs comply with BS7671, low voltage directives, and internal QA standards.
Act as a go-to expert for EC&I Engineering queries. You'll support project engineers, review designs, gets hands on with automated systems and provide technical guidance to ensure consistent quality across the board.
