Job summary

Green Barks Search is recruiting an experienced Project Manager for the Lower Thames Crossing earthworks package in Essex. You will lead one of two sectional delivery teams, overseeing safe, productive and profitable delivery with bulk excavation, cut and fill and mass haul activities.

You will report to senior leadership, manage client and public relationships, and work closely with safety and commercial teams to drive performance, cost control and programme alignment.

Qualifications

• Extensive civil engineering experience with earthworks.
• Proven track record delivering major earthworks packages.
• Experience in project or senior management roles.
• Strong knowledge of modern earthmoving methods and heavy plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead a sectional delivery team, ensuring earthworks are delivered safely and on programme.
• Oversee bulk earthworks operations including excavation, material movement and mass haul.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the public as required.
• Own and drive delivery with high standards of safety, quality and performance.
• Keep Senior Leadership updated on progress, risks and issues.
• Collaborate with Central Support, Commercial and HSE to ensure coordinated delivery.
• Produce robust programmes and budgets to support delivery.
• Ensure compliance with earthworks specifications and materials handling.
