Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Senior Earthing Studies Engineer to join our electrical team. The role is based in Bristol or Warrington with hybrid working, primarily desk-based and occasional site visits for soil resistivity surveys.

Applicants should have 4+ years in earthing studies, familiarity with EPR, touch/step voltages, fault current return paths, and AutoCAD for earthing layouts. UK work eligibility is required; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in earthing design and analysis.
• BSc, BEng or equivalent.
• Experience with soil resistivity analysis, fall of potential surveys.
• AutoCAD proficiency for earthing layouts.
• Knowledge of EPR, touch/step voltages and fault current paths.
• Own car and willingness to travel for site surveys.
• Knowledge of CDEGS or XGSLab.
• Eligible to work in the UK without visa.

Responsibilities

• Desk-based role with occasional site visits and soil surveys.
• Prepare earthing layout drawings using AutoCAD.
• Engage with clients to discuss results and actions.
• Potential progression into general power systems analysis.
