Morson Edge is recruiting a Senior Earthing Studies Engineer to join our electrical team in a hybrid role based in Bristol or Warrington. The job involves desk-based analysis with occasional site visits and soil resistivity surveys.

A degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years in earthing design are required. Candidates should be familiar with EPR, touch and step voltages, fault current return paths, and have AutoCAD experience to prepare site layouts.

Qualifications

• Confident with AutoCAD for site layouts
• Knowledge of earthing theory including EPR, touch and step voltages and fault current return paths
• Own car and willingness to travel for surveys
• Knowledge of CDEGS or XGSLab
• Confident in discussing results with clients

Senior Earthing Studies Engineer

Bristol or Warrington based - hybrid working

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Earthing Studies Engineer to work with us to help strengthen our electrical team. The role will be primarily desk based, with the need for occasional site visits and soil resistivity surveys. Candidates should have 4+ years' experience of earthing studies, gained within a consultancy, ICP, renewable developer, or similar environment. Candidates are expected to be familiar with concepts such as EPR, touch and step voltage, fault current return paths and soil resistivity, and be able to use AutoCAD to prepare earthing layout drawings. The role also has the opportunity for the engineer to move into more general power systems analysis, if desired. The role is based either in our Bristol Office, but could also be based out of our Manchester (Irlam) office. Candidates should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, without requiring a visa. Applications from more experienced candidates are more than welcome.
