Job summary

Sussex Community is seeking a Qualified Senior Early Years Educator to lead planning, delivery and evaluation of high-quality early years education in NHS community nurseries. The role deputises for the Nursery Manager and focuses on holistic care, development and wellbeing for children aged 9 months to 5 years.

The post emphasizes inclusion, safeguarding, infection control and collaborative work with families and professionals within a Trust setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate diploma or equivalent appropriate qualification in childcare or related field.
• Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Level 4 Foundation degree in Early Years.
• Experience in children’s care, learning and development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Promote child development, learning and education.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities to support learning.
• Observe, assess, and record childrens progress.
• Support emotional, physical, and social development through interventions.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children following safeguarding policies.
