Job summary

Technical Partners International is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join a leading energy organisation across Stanlow plants and Oil Terminal. You will develop maintenance plans, lead shutdown activities and provide technical support for E&I maintenance to maximise plant reliability.

Based in Ellesmere Port, the role offers a 37.5-hour week, a Monday–Friday pattern, and a comprehensive package including on-call rota, overtime, and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of E&I maintenance experience in oil, gas or chemical industries.
• A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• COMPEX Ex01-Ex04
• HNC/HND in engineering discipline.
• IOSH or NEBOSH workplace safety qualification.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level).
• Maintenance engineering standards and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver maintenance plans with the E&I Team Leader.
• Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance meets procedures and standards.
• Provide troubleshooting for electrical and instrumentation issues.
• Lead planning and execution of plant shutdowns and coordinate activities.
• Maintain CMMS records and provide detailed feedback on work.
• Support equipment reliability across Stanlow facilities and Oil Terminal.
• Coordinate with planners, operations and management.
• Mentor colleagues and apprentices.
