Job summary

Tioxide, a leader in TiO2 pigments, seeks an Electrical & Instrument Engineer to maximise plant reliability across our UK operations. You’ll specify E&I repairs, support outages, and drive improvements in capital projects while maintaining safety standards and engineering discipline.

The role requires strong expertise in electrical/instrumentation controls, plus a Chartered or progressing towards chartered status, and a track record in process industry environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Control engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered status.
• 5+ years' experience in upper tier COMAH or similar process industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS).
• Experience in plant troubleshooting and maintenance outages.
• Proven ability to perform root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Good communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical E&I engineering support to plant teams to improve reliability.
• Draft detailed specs for electrical equipment and instruments.
• Support maintenance events and outages with E&I input.
• Identify reliability improvements using current technologies.
• Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments and investigations.
• Maintain E&I life plan for capital replacement and upgrades.
• Ensure modifications are properly assessed for risk.
• Promote adherence to site engineering standards.
