Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Engineer with extensive postgraduate drainage design experience for Roads, Active Travel and Major Civil Engineering schemes. The role is in the London & South East region, with offices in Cambridge, London, Basingstoke, Guildford or Southampton.

You will deliver a wide range of projects, providing technical input, reports and design solutions while developing the team's capabilities and ensuring quality and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• CEng or IEng with a professional institute or near qualification.
• Postgraduate experience in drainage design for major civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of drainage principles, DMRB, SuDs and hydraulic modelling.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality engineering services as part of an integrated team.
• Provide technical input to cross-sector internal project teams for transport, development and environmental projects.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate outputs effectively to clients.
• Develop the Roads and drainage team's technical capacity.
• Design drainage and flood risk measures for roads, public transport and active travel projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and in-house QA standards.
