Job summary

Our client in Basingstoke is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead flood risk assessments, drainage strategy design for residential and commercial developments, and deliver projects on time.

The role requires AUTOCAD, MicroDrainage, and strong report writing, client liaison, and planning advice. A relevant degree and UK driving licence are essential; salary £40-£50k plus benefits and flexible working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is essential.
• Experience with flood risk assessments and drainage design using MicroDrainage is essential.
• Experience in preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead flood risk assessment and drainage scheme design for residential and commercial developments.
• Prepare/assist with fee proposals, manage projects and provide planning advice on flood risk and drainage.
• Liaise with clients, council officers and design team members and communicate clearly by email, phone and in person.
