Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Drainage Design or Surface Water Management Specialist to join the Derby team and deliver a diverse portfolio of national and international projects. The role focuses on leading drainage design delivery, senior technical oversight, and development of capability within the UK regulatory framework.

You will work with Principal/Senior Engineers, oversee 3D modelling in BIM environments, and support bids and client relations while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with

Qualifications

• Knowledge of drainage design for infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Experience across multiple markets within drainage and surface water.
• Familiarity with BIM environments and 3D modelling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage design delivery for standalone projects or multi-disciplinary schemes.
• Check and oversee drainage models, calculations and drawings to standards.
• Support bids, proposals and risk assessments for fees and programmes.
• Mentor junior team members and develop stakeholder relationships.
