Job summary

Oliver Bernard is hiring an experienced Senior .NET Software Engineer to join a fast-growing SaaS business building a cloud-native platform using Microsoft technologies. You will own features from design to production and help shape architecture and best practices.

You'll work in an agile squad delivering RESTful APIs and backend services on Azure, with a strong emphasis on testing, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with C#/.NET in commercial projects.
• Hands-on delivery of cloud-native applications on Azure.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems and modern software architecture.
• Experience with EF Core and SQL Server.
• Commitment to clean code, testing, CI/CD and engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

We're working with a fast-growing SaaS business that's investing heavily in its cloud platform and looking to hire an experienced Senior .NET Software Engineer.

This is an opportunity to join a modern engineering team building a cloud-native SaaS product from the ground up using the latest Microsoft technologies. You'll take ownership of features from design through to production while helping shape architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.

The Opportunity

You'll work within a collaborative, agile squad building scalable backend services and modern APIs that power a market-leading platform. This is a genuinely hands-on role with plenty of technical ownership and the chance to influence how the platform evolves.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing modern applications using C# and .NET 9
• Building cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Designing RESTful APIs and scalable backend services
• Working with Azure SQL, Service Bus, Functions and App Services
• Driving code quality through testing, code reviews and pair programming
• Championing AI-assisted development using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and Cursor
• Mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural decisions

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with C#/.NET
• Experience building cloud-native applications in Azure
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems and modern software architecture
• Experience with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server
• Passion for clean code, testing, CI/CD and engineering best practices
• Experience using AI tools to improve developer productivity

Nice to Have

• TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks
