A well-established engineering organisation in Basingstoke seeks a Senior Document Controller for a 12-month contract with hybrid working options. Responsibilities include managing technical documents for projects in energy transition sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in document control, especially within the oil & gas or engineering fields.

Join a well-established engineering organisation that plays a critical role in delivering global projects within the energy transition space, including carbon capture, renewables, and hydrogen initiatives. The team based in Basingstoke is supporting major decarbonisation work, and this position offers the flexibility of hybrid working, a healthy work-life balance, and meaningful, long-term assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and control technical and administrative documents across multiple projects
Monitor contractor and supplier document submissions to ensure timely delivery
Coordinate transmittals and interface with external stakeholders
Generate reports and forecasts related to documentation status and deliverables
Provide guidance and training to suppliers and contractors on document systems
Ensure compliance with document control procedures and contribute to process updates
Attend project meetings and workshops, providing document support as needed
Archive project correspondence and documentation in line with project close-out
Required Skills and Experience
Strong experience in a document control role within the energy, oil & gas, or engineering sectors
Comfortable working with document control procedures on complex projects
Proficient in SharePoint for document management
Familiarity with Assai or similar EDMS is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a hybrid environment
