Job summary

IDEX Consulting, on behalf of a leading Scottish law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its dispute resolution team. You will manage a diverse caseload across commercial and personal disputes, while mentoring juniors and working with Partners to shape the team’s future.

The role offers hybrid working, real progression within a respected firm, and a varied, high-quality caseload that spans Sheriff Court advocacy, ADR, and client relationship development.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in general and/or commercial litigation.
• Advocacy experience in the Sheriff Court and/or First Tier Tribunal.
• Confident, personable client-facing skills.
• Strong organisation and time management.
• Commercial nous and the ability to work independently.
• Collaborative mindset – go-to person for junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Managing litigation from first instruction through to resolution
• Appearing in the Sheriff Court
• Handling ADR matters, including First Tier Tribunal proceedings and arbitrations
• Supervising, training and mentoring Trainees and Junior Solicitors
• Building lasting client relationships through excellent, consistent service
